Second formal night
After the ice show was over, we headed up for dinner. This was the second formal night, so we got a chance to pose for new pictures (the first night’s pictures were just “okay”). No surprise that dinner was fabulous, as always. Caitlin ordered a sirloin steak, and the rest of us ordered the grilled pork chop. The now-standard after-dinner shot arrived in a glossy purple shot glass (not really a glass, they are made of aluminum). Caitlin also decided she wanted “one of whatever they are having” at the next table. The shooter was called a Blue Eyed Blonde, and came in its own souvenir glass (really glass this time). Ivan, our bartender, posed for this picture.
Following dinner, we all changed back into cooler clothes. I was stuffed (what a surprise) and plopped down on my bed to rest until Sharon arrived. We girls all wandered around for a while, until the yawning started. I made it until 10:30 pm when I gave up and climbed into bed. Caitlin stayed up reading a Harry Potter book. I woke up at 1 am to use the bathroom, and she was still reading! Once I reminded her of our early port schedule in the morning, she finally shut off the light.
