The Beginning: Traveling South. 8/18/07
We began our day at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. Our flight was delayed twice, and we finally got in the air headed to Chicago, with only 25 minutes to spare between connections. The flight from Chicago to San Juan was pretty uneventful, although we did get these cloud-top pictures right before the sunset – we think they may have been from Hurricane Dean, because it was the right general area when we saw them.
After getting checked into our hotel, we hit the streets for some local fare. I had seafood linguini and two, count ‘em two, 32-ounce beers of the local brew. Sharon says it was Medalla, but I don't recall what the waiter said. Whatever, it tasted great after a long day of travel.
