It's the morning of departure and the sun is coming up. Dean turned into a Cat 4 last night as I was finishing packing. The Weather Dudes just said Dean is expected to hit a Cat 5. This is what he looks like now, in all of his swirling glory. (Glad we're not going to Jamaica, mon.) Our flight should reach San Juan Puerto Rico tonight at 8:15pm. Although in the top edge of Dean's swirl, it is actually very pleasant there, currently partly cloudy, 80 degrees and only a 30% chance of showers. So time to throw the last few items in the bag, haul them out to the car, and prepare for the journey.
