San Juan

On the edge of the parking lot, we could hear birds screeching above our heads. I commented that I kept expecting to see exotic red birds, but so far we’d only seen blackbirds and a few seagulls. At that point, Sharon said that there were supposed to be parrots here, and we all realized that was the bird sound we were hearing. We looked and looked, and finally found this little fellow. Not that “little” really, he had to be at least 12 to 15 inches long. Although we could hear several other parrots in the trees, we couldn’t see any of them because they are the same color as the leaves.
