First of two beaches for snorkeling in Aruba

At the beach, I got caught in the current on the shoreline while I was trying to get my dive fins on, and it rolled me over a few times in the waves. If you didn’t know already, that white sand is made up of little bitty shells. Ouch. I felt literally beat up in 30 seconds flat, and my legs are still stinging as I write this. (Also got a nasty scratch on my left shoulder blade, but didn’t notice that until the next day.) Anyway, I finally got in deep enough, donned my mask and snorkel, and headed in. The water here is very stirred up due to the effects of Hurricane Dean, but we can still see clearly for several feet. Saw a couple fish and took pictures with the underwater disposable camera.
